We're located on Sawai Jai Singh Highway in Bani Park, a plush,
quiet residential area of Jaipur.
Meghniwas is 5 minutes from the bus and railway stations, 10 minutes
from the Pink City, the bustling heart of Jaipur, and 30 minutes
from the Sanganer Airport.
Rickshaws are always available at the bus and railway stations:
even though taking a rickshaw involves a great deal of good natured
bargaining & haggling.
If you're flying into Jaipur you'll need to take a taxi to get
from the airport to the city. Click

About Jaipur
Jaipur owes it's name, it's foundation, and it's
careful planning, to the great warrior astronomer Jai Singh
II (1699- 1744), who took advantage of declining Moghul power
to move his somewhat cramped hillside fortress at nearby Amber
to a new site on the plains in 1727. He laid out the city, with
it's surrounding walls and six rectangular blocks, according
to the principles of town planning set down in the Shilpa Shastra,
an ancient Hindu treatise on architecture.
